Karabo Kaunga a Daeyang University student, developed a Smart Fitness Vest for athletes. The Smart Fitness Vest is an advanced wearable technology designed to provide comprehensive real-time fitness tracking and data analysis. It continuously monitors heart rate, body temperature, and motion using high-precision sensors, and transmits this data to a mobile application via Wi-Fi. The app offers a user-friendly interface, displaying real-time metrics data for both players and coaches. Key functionalities include heart rate monitoring, temperature tracking, motion analysis, user authentication, and seamless data synchronization, ensuring users can monitor their health effectively

Smart Vest System

The Braille Pad functions as a tactile reading device, employing a microcontroller-based system and miniature solenoids as the main actuators for converting digital text into Braille format. It processes digital text inputs from PDFs or text files through a character conversion algorithm and a specialized library, translating characters into corresponding Braille representations.
Using a Braille grid structure (two columns and three rows), the device selectively activates solenoids to raise or lower, forming tactile Braille characters. Navigation controls allow users to easily move through the pages of a book.

Meet Fanny Mughogho, a recent graduate from Daeyang University, now working at Shake Solutions as a Systems Administrator. During her final year, she developed My Grade, a digital solution designed for secondary schools in Malawi, aiming to streamline the grading process. With user-friendly interfaces and detailed manuals, My Grade simplifies tasks, ultimately enhancing efficiency and accessibility in results management, benefiting both students and educational institutions.
